We will shortly be submitting a planning application to East Riding of Yorkshire Council to develop our renewable energy project between Preston and Bilton.
The development – a solar farm capable of producing enough clean energy to power 16,000 homes – is proposed for land bordering Neat Marsh Road, Wyton Road, and Old Fleet drain.
It will consist of photovoltaic cells and a state-of-the-art battery system which will ensure the National Grid can take full advantage of the renewable energy it generates.
The development will also benefit the local area directly via the provision of community funds, annual business rates, and by increasing biodiversity and native vegetation which will screen the solar panels from view.
Prior to submitting the planning application, we are holding a public consultation event to enable local residents to view the proposals, ask questions of the development team, and voice any concerns they may have.
The event will be held at Preston Community Hall, Main Street, Preston, between 6pm and 9pm, on Monday, January 23rd.
The public consultation event will be very informal so there is no need to book. If you wish to attend please feel free to drop in at a time convenient to you. We look forward to welcoming you.
If you are unable to attend but would like to know more, please get in touch via the contact us page or by emailing info@wytonroadrenewableenergy.co.uk
